Come help us write a new chapter in APW history as
women and men from across the state gather for Arkansas
Press Womens 2007 Awards Luncheon
in Little Rock.

Schedule for Saturday, June 9:
APW board meeting: 10 a.m. All members are welcome.
Luncheon: 11:30 a.m., with door prizes and membership
recognitions.
Awards and Program: 12:30 p.m.
The meeting includes:
Presentation
and book signing by Betsy Jacoway, author of
"Turn Away Thy Son - The Crisis that Shocked a
Nation," an account of the Central High
desegregation crisis of 1957-1959.
Communications Contest awards program
Scholarship presentation
Communicator
of the Year award
Loads of great door prizes
Proceeds from the luncheon help support the APW scholarship program,
which in turn helps support a college student majoring in
journalism or a related communication field.
$20 registration includes lunch, and
guests are welcome. The event will be held at the
Historic Arkansas Museum (formerly Arkansas Territorial
Restoration) 200 East Third Street in Little Rock, in the
River Market District. Free museum parking is located
across the street from the museum.
Registration must be made in advance, and the deadline
to receive registrations is June 1. Click here for a registration form,

Arrive a little early to the APW party, and you can
browse through one of the countrys best
Farmers Markets in the River Market. Stay
afterwards, and you can catch a ride on the trolley that
will take you through all the downtown sites: the Clinton
Presidential Center, the Museum of Discovery, the
Dickey-Stephens Ballpark, plus lots of restaurants,
galleries and shops.
