Once upon a time ...2007 Awards Luncheon & Scholarship Benefit

June 9, 2007
Historic Arkansas Museum,
Little Rock

Come help us write a new chapter in APW history as women and men from across the state gather for Arkansas Press Women’s 2007 Awards Luncheon in Little Rock.

Registration deadline: June 1. Click here for a registration form.

Schedule for Saturday, June 9:
APW board meeting: 10 a.m. All members are welcome.
Luncheon: 11:30 a.m., with door prizes and membership recognitions.
Awards and Program: 12:30 p.m.

The meeting includes:
Presentation and book signing by Betsy Jacoway, author of "Turn Away Thy Son - The Crisis that Shocked a Nation," an account of the Central High desegregation crisis of 1957-1959.
Communications Contest awards program
Scholarship presentation
Communicator of the Year award
Loads of great door prizes

Proceeds from the luncheon help support the APW scholarship program, which in turn helps support a college student majoring in journalism or a related communication field.

$20 registration includes lunch, and guests are welcome. The event will be held at the Historic Arkansas Museum (formerly Arkansas Territorial Restoration) 200 East Third Street in Little Rock, in the River Market District. Free museum parking is located across the street from the museum.

Registration must be made in advance, and the deadline to receive registrations is June 1. Click here for a registration form, and contact Ashli Davis (ashli.davis@acxiom.com) if you have questions about tickets.

Arrive a little early to the APW party, and you can browse through one of the country’s best Farmer’s Markets in the River Market. Stay afterwards, and you can catch a ride on the trolley that will take you through all the downtown sites: the Clinton Presidential Center, the Museum of Discovery, the Dickey-Stephens Ballpark, plus lots of restaurants, galleries and shops.
