News feeds for cell phones. Newspaper reporters shooting video for the Web. Candidate chats with online journalists. Convergence is changing the way media outlets report and how candidates reach their audiences.

See the changes through the eyes of the media and campaign representatives on Saturday, Nov. 3, at "Media Convergence and the 2008 Elections," the Arkansas Press Women fall professional development conference. The complete program is detailed below.

The event is open to the public. Proceeds from the conference help fund scholarships and other educational opportunities.

Registration

Morning sessions only: $10 per person, $5 for students.

Full-day registration, including lunch: $20 in advance for Arkansas Press Women members, or $25 at the door. For non-members, advance registration is $25 or $30 at the door.
